- 1 can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed

- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika

- 2 tablespoons of olive oil

Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Wash the beets and wrap them in aluminum foil. Place them on a baking sheet and roast them in the oven for about 45 minutes, or until they are tender.
- While the beets are roasting, heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté for about 5 minutes, or until the onions are translucent.
- In a food processor, combine the roasted beets, sautéed onion and garlic, drained chickpeas, breadcrumbs, parsley, dill, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Pulse until the mixture is well combined and has a ground meat-like texture.
- Shape the mixture into 4 patties.
- Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the pan and serve on a bun with your favorite toppings.
