Method

1. Heat 3 gallons (11 liters) of water in your pot to 155°F (68°C). 2. Add your Crystal Malt, Roasted Barley, and Chocolate Malt to a muslin bag and steep in the water for 30 minutes. 3. Remove the muslin bag and add your Coopers Dark Malt Extract and Coopers Light Malt Extract to the pot. Stir until the malt is fully dissolved. 4. Bring the wort to a boil and add your Pride of Ringwood hops. Boil for 60 minutes. 5. After 60 minutes, turn off the heat and cool the wort to 70°F (21°C). 6. Transfer the wort to a fermenting bucket and add enough water to bring the total volume to 5 gallons (19 liters). 7. Pitch your Coopers Dry Ale Yeast and seal the bucket with an airlock. 8. Allow the beer to ferment for 7-10 days at room temperature. 9. After fermentation is complete, use your hydrometer to check the beer's specific gravity. It should be around 1.012-1.014. 10. Transfer the beer to a bottling bucket and add your priming sugar. Bottle the beer and let it condition for at least 2 weeks before drinking.
